BRIGIT GARRETT, RYT, RMTBrigit Garrett
Brigit Garrett has had a passionate fascination with health, healing and well-being since the 80′s. Her interest in human bio-mechanics, anatomy, dance, and fitness led her to start teaching fitness at the age of 18.
After many injuries, Brigit discovered the healing powers of massage therapy and rehabilitation through movement and stretching. In 1989 she became licensed as a registered massage therapist.
Brigit believes that using our innate wisdom helps us to connect to the balance of body, mind and spirit health. Yoga and massage is one way to gain prolonged health and vitality.
For the past 5 years, Brigit has been dedicated to the study and path of yoga. Yoga has allowed her to heal her own injuries and adrenal burnout from many years ago. It also keeps her energized so she can continue her busy, physically-demanding massage therapy practice five days a week.
Parallel to the physical benefits of yoga are those less tangible: inner strength and vitality, courage, balance, mind clarity and a deep sense of connecting with the world around you. Through practicing yoga, Brigit feels she is able to keep a calmer and more focused mind on the tasks at hand. The balanced state of consciousness she has gained through her yoga practice allows the relationship between her body, mind, nature, and happiness to flourish.
The style of yoga Brigit teaches is influenced by her earlier years practicing Iyvenger and Hatha Yoga, and more recently Anusara Yoga with Desiree Rumbaugh and Martin Kirk. She completed her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training at White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, California, which follows a non-dogmatic approach. She has the utmost respect and gratitude for her teachers Ganga White and Tracey Rich. Check out Ganga White’s book “Yoga Beyond Belief“. Brigit is excited to share this knowledge with her students.
Brigit lives at Ruby Lake Resort with her other passion, partner Aldo and three lovely sons.
It is with warmth and gratitude to this community that Brigit welcomes you to IN TOUCH THERAPEUTICS YOGA STUDIO.

Class Descriptions
BEGINNER’S YOGA: Beginner’s Hatha Yoga creates a basic, strong foundation using anatomical alignment, breathe awareness and relaxation techniques with progress towards many yoga poses. Good introduction for newcomers to yoga. All are welcome!
HATHA FLOW LEVEL 1 YOGA: Builds on the Beginners foundation Yoga with a Hatha Flow Style (sequencing of poses) some Pranayama (breath work). Helps to relieve tension, build strength, flexibility and balance, calms body and mind. Ends with Deep Relaxation – Savasana.
HATHA FLOW LEVEL 2 YOGA: Yoga experience is necessary. We will continue to work on more intermediate poses – increasing strength, flexibility and balance. Expanding on Pranayama (increasing breathing capacity and calmness of mind). Class follows Hatha Flow style (sequencing of poses). Always ending with a deep, relaxing Savasana.
ENERGETIC VINYASA: A fun, creative and challenging class bursting with playful arm balances, binds, and inversions! Great for those wishing to help improve their metabolism and burn fat. Soak in some good vibrations as we end our practice with the rich, pure, vibrant sound of a crystal singing bowl to reduce stress and tension, creating a relaxed state of mind, allowing the body to begin self-regenerative healing.
GENTLE HATHA YOGA/YOGA NIDRA: Relax, release tension and revitalize with gentle hatha yoga asanas and Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is an eight-stage guided meditation that has the power to transform, heal and rejuvenate you at core levels. Yoga Nidra can bring you effortlessly, compassionately and rapidly into relaxation and healing. No previous yoga or meditation experience is necessary.
TEEN YOGA (age 12-teen): learn to stretch and strengthen as you practice yoga poses developed specifically for growing bodies. Yoga encourages creativity, co-ordination, and self-confidence.
